SHE43C, SHE44C, SHE46C, SHE56C, SHU33, SHU42, SHU432. SHU43C, SHU53A, SL34A

Bosch has identified a potential problem associated with certain Bosch and Siemens dishwasher control modules.

In rare instances the control can fail in such a way that could pose a potential fire hazard to consumers.  The affected units are limited and listed in the table below.

Because we all care about the safety of our customers we are performing a voluntary recall of these products to replace the control module and thereby remove this failure potential.  It is very important that we find and fix all units possible.  The Consumer Products Safety Commission has been notified of this activity.

Once it is known that a product has a potential hazard, everyone involved with the product, manufacturer, distributor, dealer, and servicer has a legal and an ethical responsibility to do everything they can to protect the consumer.  As soon as the problem was identified, BSH blocked shipment of the affected control modules in its inventories and superseded the part numbers to a new control.

Bosch is making arrangements to have all units repaired with a new control module in the customer’s home at our expense.

If a Bosch or Siemens Dishwasher customer contacts you first, please have them contact our Dishwasher Hotline at 800-856-9226 anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we will provide the customer an authorization number to have the necessary service call done.
