How To Clean A Pop-Up Toaster

Pop up toasters should be cleaned on a regular basis. They’re extremely useful and a must-have in every home but most of us often forget to clean them. If you regularly use your pop-up toaster, it certainly deserves a regular cleaning. We tell you how…

Step 1

Step 1

Always clean the toaster only when its unplugged and has cooled down. If your pop-up toaster has a crumb tray, remove it and brush it off into the sink. Next, soak it in a mild liquid dishwasher for 15 minutes to get rid of the grease stuck to it. If not, just wipe it with a clean cloth.

Step 1

Step 2

Since its not possible to separate the coils, you can simply brush it with a clean toothbrush. Place the toaster upside down and tap it over the sink to make sure all the crumbs have fallen off. Continue to hold the toaster upside down and with a clean brush, brush out the particles on the sides trapped in the coils. Make sure you only use water and not soap water to clean the coil.

Step 3

Step 1Cleaning the toaster from the outside is quite simple. Use a sponge or a wet cloth dipped in soap water. If its stainless steel, you can use cream of tartar mixed with some water/vinegar to remove rust stains or just clean it using a toothbrush.

Deep clean the pop-up toaster once a month by following these steps to keep it clean. If you plan to buy a new pop-up toaster soon, we’d recommend you also buy the extended warranty plan with it, to ensure the long life of your toaster.
